Rupanty Akid is a Bangladeshi mode and actress but she was born and brought up in Australia. She has been appreciated for her acting in several dramas in Bangladesh and so she frequently visit Bangladesh whenever she is called for acting. 

Bangladeshi mode and actress Rupanty Akid said about the inspiration of her acting, “Both of my parents are engaged in cultural arena. My father has been working in the media for many days. My mother also acted in village theater. Their inspiration paved my way towards acting. Moreover many actors and directors also inspired me in this regard.

  • Question: How many works have you done till now in Bangladesh?

Rupanty Akid: I have acted in the dramas titled ‘Probashe porobashe’ directed by Zinat Hakim, ‘Tahar nam shokuntola’, ‘Brikkho o joler kabbo’ directed by Shokal Ahmed, ‘Keboloi rat hoye jay’ and ‘Hello Bangladesh’ directed by Mahfuz Ahmed and ‘Angti’ directed by Shagor Jahan.

  • Question: The television film ‘Hello Bangladesh’ has got popularity. What do you say about that?

Rupanty Akid: Director Mahfuz Ahmed co – operated a lot during the shooting in this film. Other actor – actresses especially Richi Solaiman also gave good advice in different times. I have learned a lot. Last of all, I am really grateful that spectators took this well enough.

  • Question: What is your plan about acting?

Rupanty Akid: I don’t want to be a professional actress. I studied in Business administration and want to build up my career in there. Yes, I am interested to act if I get good offers.

  • Question: Now, do you think that your acting will hamper your future career?

Rupanty Akid: Many people asked me that but I think these kinds of good works will enrich my future career. It is important to co – ordinate my works with hobbies.

  • Question: How do you co – ordinate two different cultures in your personal life?

Rupanty Akid: Both of my parents hold our country’s culture in their hearts. I was accustomed with our culture since my childhood. I speak Bangla, read Bangla books and hear Bangla songs, so nothing is unknown here for me. Besides being raised in Australian culture, it is also known to me. So I can easily co – ordinate my life between these two cultures.
